Even at initial quoting stage we knew that Summerscapes would be the right team to complete the landscaping of our new house build. Not only were Summerscapes the most diligent at answering our queries, they were the most creative when it came to ideas for design. When we first met Mark on site, I was only equipped with a few screenshots on my phone of plants I liked. We had absolutely zero idea what we wanted our front yard, backyard, side walkway and pool area to look like. I expressed that I wanted the externals of the house to have a “Byron Bay vibe”, but that was about it. As we walked around the very messy building site, Mark mapped out a whole-house landscape concept full of on-trend curved garden beds, lush tropical plants and white limestone pavers. Needless to say we LOVED what he put forward and went ahead with his design. It was that simple. His knowledge, experience and creative flair saved us thousands on a landscape architect.

Mark and Ian utilised their extensive network of local trades to ensure we had the best quality workmanship for each component of our job: concreter for driveway/laundry slab, carpenter for white picket fence, glass pool fencer, Colorbond fencer for retaining wall/new fence and side gates and electrician for pool earthing and outdoor lighting. Contacting these trades for their availability/quotes and project managing them to work cohesively is not typically the responsibility of landscapers, so we were incredibly grateful to have all of this help from Summerscapes. Not only did it save us a lot of time and energy, it allowed us to focus our attention on completing the internals of a new house build while juggling existing work/family commitments.
